Edaran Tan Chong Motors executive director Tan Keng Meng announced after the 14th Nissan National Hole-In-One Challenge on March 14 that the new season will be called the Nissan Green Drive Hole-In-One Challenge 2013 .
“The next season will be newly named as the Nissan Green Drive Hole-In-One Challenge 2013, in line with Nissan and Edaran Tan Chong Motor’s vision to focus on innovation in green technologies from this year onwards,” said Tan.
He also thanked event partners and co-sponsors for making the challenge an “overwhelming success”.
During the competition, pensioner Ibrahim Kassim came up top with 41 points at the 18-hole Rahman Putra Golf Course. The former army man emerged victorious after having last played at the same course 20 years ago.
“Funnily enough, the first and the last time I played here was in a golf tournament 22 years ago and shot gross 70 to win. “I can’t believe that I won today, especially when I started my round by shooting a 10 on the first hole!” said Ibrahim.
