KUALA LUMPURr: Over two-thirds of the 276 units of Designer Office at Sunway Velocity, a development project nestled between Jalan Peel and Jalan Cheras, were snapped up at its official launch last Sunday.
“We sold more than half of the units at the soft launch three weeks ago,” Sunway Integrated Properties Sdn Bhd marketing and sales general manager Gerard Yuen told Selangor Times.
Yuen said the designer office is different from conventional corporate office towers as the freehold units are smaller, ranging from 678 sq ft to over 1,200 sq ft for duplex offices.
“It’s suitable for entrepreneurs, but we’ve also designed our walls (between the units) so that it can be easily torn down and combined with the unit next door if the owner wants to expand,” he said.
Unlike traditional shoplots, Yuen added that ample parking spaces – 6,500 bays underground – will be provided at Sunway Velocity.
He said the Maluri and Chan Sow Lin Light Rail Transit stations are just five to 10 minutes’ walk away which will enable employees to travel to work easily.
A mass rapid transit station (MRT) station is also being built 100m away and the developer plans to build a link bridge to the Cochrane station.
Yuen said the designer office will also feature a Sky Garden at its rooftop, equipped with gym, swimming pool, lounge, function and meeting rooms.
Slated to be completed in 2016, the designer office will also be located next to a two-acre central park and a one million sq ft shopping mall with plenty of eateries.
The mall will be connected to the designer office via an elevated boulevard, or environmental deck, designed specifically for pedestrians.
The 23-acre Sunway Velocity is a mixed-integrated development with an estimated gross development value of RM3.6 billion.
Its sales gallery located at Lot 392, Batu 2 ½, Jalan Cheras is open daily from 10am to 5.30pm.
