AMPANG: Team Psychedelic Pink Pandas took home RM2,000 along with Starbucks vouchers in the recent Starbucks Summer Hunt for Fun.
Some 400 people took part in the summer themed treasure hunt and about RM15,000 worth of prizes were given away.
Berjaya Starbucks Coffee Company Sdn Bhd chief executive Sydney Quays said the programme was to celebrate the summer lifestyle with their fans.
“Starbucks Summer Hunt for Fun is part of our reward programme to all, and thus is a way to express our appreciation and thank our friends for their continuous support.
“Let’s celebrate the moment of connection in line with what we always believe in; our mission statement which is to inspire and nurture the human spirit, One Person, One Cup and One neighbourhood at a time,” said Quays.
Dressed in flashy summer clothing, the treasure hunt saw racers travelling around the Klang Valley area searching for “treasures” in the form of signboards, words, restaurants and brand names.
The race ended at the Darul Ehsan Golf and Country Club in Taman Tun Abdul Razak, where participants were treated to complimentary Starbucks beverages and food catered from the club.
Participants had a chance to win laptops, mini-refrigerators, music boxes, vacation packages and many more from lucky draws.
The event also saw the launch of Starbucks Malaysia’s official Youtube page, where fans can share their personal Starbucks story.
Other sponsors of the event included Marmalade Interior Design Sdn Bhd, Bakers Cottage, English Hotbreads, Dutch Lady, Spade Advertising, F&B Facilities, FDP Marketing Sdn Bhd, Zeal Systems, Lee Chin Wah Construction Sdn Bhd, Greenfields, Vanadium Engineering Resources, 7-Eleven, Singer and BCard.
