KUALA LUMPUR: Sharp launched its largest offering to the television market yet with its Aquos 80-inch LED TV and the tagline “From Bigger To Biggest” on June 14.
“This year, our company direction is towards the bigger-sized products,” said Sharp-Roxy Sales and Service Company (M) Sdn Bhd managing director Hiroyuki Nuizato.
He said their target of producing larger LED TVs that made for better viewing experiences was carried forward from when they released the Aquos 70-inch last year.
He added that producing bigger TV panels could only be done economically by Sharp’s Green Front Sakai – the only plant in the industry making 10th generation mother glass substrates.
The Aquos 80-inch model was produced with a Full HD Japan-made panel which features Sharp’s renowned Quattron four-primary colour (4C) technology.
The “From Bigger To Biggest” theme is also being extended to Sharp’s new Avance Double-French refrigerator model which is not only big in size but also in functions.
The Avance features an intelligent mode indicator with the elegantly designed handle displaying blue to indicate Plasmacluster Ion Mode which keeps food free from bacteria.
A green display indicates Eco Mode which reduces energy consumption by 10 percent and an orange colour indicates a Temperature Increase warning.
The latest Aquos comes with a price tag of RM28,999 while the Avance comes in four models ranging from RM4,999 to RM7,499.
