It’s time to forget the London Olympics and get the red carpet ready for Malaysia’s top dramatic comedians. And the word dramatic is there for a very good reason. After all that holiday food (Christmas, Chinese New Year!), it’s perhaps a good decision to burn those calories by laughing till your jaws break! From March 8 to 10, join a bunch a highly acclaimed Malaysian talents for a night of non-stop hilarious drama, fully improvised. Actorlympics will be held at the theatre in PJ Live Arts, and is organised by Vision Works.

Talents on stage who promise to tickle you include Afdlin Shauki (Bobo from Phua Chu Khang), Nell Ng (actress, producer, director, choreographer, and also from Phua Chu Khang), Kuah Jenhan (established stand-up comedian), Douglas Lim (singer, composer, and actor also from the famous Kopitiam TV series), Rashid Salleh (model, host, actor who was also in Kopitiam), Ida Nerina (who was in movies like Gubra, Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam, and Sepet), and Jason Lo (famous for his song Evening News as well as a popular TV host and radio DJ).

With so many funny Malaysians who all humbly aim to outwit each other on stage, audience members can definitely expect an explosion of laughter that will tie a knot in your very unsettled stomachs. It is truly going to be a showcase of Malaysian sketch comedy; something not to be missed since laughter is supposedly the best medicine for everything.
